Get ready to expand your terrain and hold your competition captive in the much awaited expansion in Mafia Wars - South Africa!
South Africa is Mafia War’s new location and it’s a whole new gaming and visual experience.

Q: When will the new location be available?
A:  
Mafia Wars - South Africa will be available to all players at Level 25 and above starting August 8th 2013.
Q: Do I get any Free Gifts when I start South Africa? 
A: 
Yes, we’re giving away 100 Rand (Currency of Mafia Wars - South Africa) to help you mine the depths of South Africa. Remember, Energy is precious and Rands are scarce.
Q: Dust to Diamonds quest has disappeared - I have been working on it. When will I receive the rewards I am eligible for?
A
: Rewards for Dust to Diamonds Event will be credited to your inventory as soon as you enter the new location - South Africa. 

The rewards will be based on the tier of Mastery completed for Dust to Diamonds as shown below.
In addition to the Mastery Rewards listed below, you will also receive 100 Rands as an incentive to start exploring South Africa.

Q: I haven’t completed any level of Mastery in Dust to Diamonds quest. Will I still receive 100 Rand when I start playing South Africa?
A
: Yes, you will still receive 100 South Africa Rand.
Q: How many new Districts are available in South Africa?
A: 
Currently, there are 3 Districts available in South Africa:
  • District 1 – Cape Town
  • District 2 – Bloemfontein
  • District 3 – The Limpopo River
All the districts can be completed by doing jobs which consume your energy.  There are 4 Tiers to be mastered for each of the Districts – Bronze, Silver, Gold and Ruby.
Good news is that you won’t see any Bandits in South Africa!
Q: How do I navigate through the new Map interface of South Africa? 
A
: The interface of South Africa is significantly different from the other locations in Mafia Wars.
It is a map based interface, using which you will be able to navigate through the available Districts, Bonus Districts, Jobs and Properties.
Districts: Please click on available District icons to view jobs and properties.
District Mastery progress is indicated above the District icon.
Jobs: Once you enter a district, you will be able to see Job Icons, which will lead you to the Jobs in that district.
For example, the first set of Jobs in Cape Town consists of 2 Jobs. The progress of these jobs is also indicated above the respective Job Icons as shown below:

 
Properties:
You can collect from your properties directly from the Map.
You can also visit a District or the City Properties page to collect or Build from your properties:

Q: How many Properties are currently available in South Africa?
A: 
Currently, there are two properties available in South Africa – Shipyard and R&D Lab. Mastering the first job in Cape Town and Bloemfontein Districts will unlock them respectively.  
Each Property gives you valuable resources to take the Savanna by storm:
·         Your Shipyard provides Rands.
·         Your R&D Lab allows you to craft Consumable Loot.

Q: How does the Bonus District work?
A: 
While doing jobs in South Africa, Bonus District will be unlocked, completing jobs in the Bonus District will give you special Loot and XP.
You can Master the Jobs in Bonus District up to Ruby Level. However, there will be no separate Mastery Reward for these jobs.
When unlocked, Bonus District can also be accessed through the South Africa Map:


Q: Is there a way I can switch from the Map interface to the user interface similar to other locations in Mafia Wars?
A: 
No, at the moment, you cannot change or switch the user interface.
Q: How does the Rykdom Bank work in South Africa?
A: 
The Rykdom Bank needs to be upgraded in order to deposit more Rands. It has 5 upgradable levels with a minimum capacity to store 1,000 Rands and a maximum capacity to store 1,000,000 Rands.
The Rykdom Bank can be upgraded using a total of five parts out of which one part (Vault Code) can only be earned by mastering any South Africa District to any level. For Mastering a District to each level (Bronze, Silver, Gold or Ruby), you will receive one Vault code.
The other 4 parts can be collected from Feeds or can be purchased using Reward Points. You can post a Feed for a specific Bank part every 24 hours and can receive a maximum of 4 parts per Feed Post.

Q: What are the Mastery Rewards for South Africa Districts?
A:  
You will receive a Bronze Mastery item for completing first Tier in Each District.
Stats of this item will be upgraded, as you progress towards higher Mastery Levels (Up to Ruby Mastery)

THE SOUTH AFRICA CREW
Q: What is the use of a Crew in South Africa?
A:  
Recruit your Mafia to earn special bonuses and to help you do jobs, fights, robbing, and collect from properties with more force. Each category has 2 separate roles that can be filled once every 8 hours.  The objective is to activate all 8 roles to earn bonuses and protection. 


All available Friends Remain in Queue until they are activated into Category Roles. All the Bonuses/Protection will be rewarded at time of activation of Crew. Your Friends must accept South Africa Crew requests to be added to open queue spots and once the crew request is accepted, both of you will become part of each other’s crew. 

Crew Roles:
Jobs
Strategist
 - Helps you get twice the Job Mastery for the next 20 jobs you do.
Lockpick - Helps you get twice the loot for the next 20 jobs you do.
Fighting
Mercenary - Next 50 fights won’t cost any stamina thanks to your Mercenary.
Marksman - Your Marksman doubles your Attack power for next 50 fights.
Robbing
Scout - Triples the rewards at the cost of double stamina for your first 3 robbing boards.
Arsonist - Guaranteed success robbing your first 3 properties for your first 3 robbing boards.
Properties
Taskmaster - Collect twice the amount from all your South Africa properties with a taskmaster.
Guardian - Protects you from being robbed in South Africa for the next 18 hours.

Q: What are the different collections in South Africa?
A: As of now, there are 3 different collections in South Africa:

Diamond Dust Collection
Lethal Dose Collection
Q: How do I Vault a collection? What are the rewards?
A: You can vault various collection items dropped in South Africa for exclusive bonus. 
To be able to Vault, you need to collect all of the items required to complete the collection. Once you have collected all the required items, click on the Vault Collection button to gain the associated bonus.




Bonus for collections:
Rumble In The Docks Collection => Vault for 30 Energy
Diamond Dust Collection => Vault for 30 Stamina
Lethal Dose Collection =>Vault for 35 Health

Q: Can I Re-Vault the South Africa collections?

A: No, you cannot re-vault the South Africa Collections.
Q: What are the different achievements in South Africa?
A: 
There are 12 achievements in South Africa. You can view the status and progress of your achievements by clicking on Profile > Achievements

1.       Rand And Rave! - Earned by having 1 million Rands in the bank
2.       Crew Driver - Earned by acquiring a total of 200 Crew in South Africa
3.       Tsotsi-Kill - Earned by winning 10000 Fights in South Africa
4.       Chief Kontrakteur - Earned by fully upgrading one Property in South Africa
5.       Vu-Vu-Zealous! Bronze - Earned by completing the Bronze level Mastery of Districts 1-3 in South Africa
6.       Vu-Vu-Zealous! Silver - Earned by completing the Silver level Mastery of Districts 1-3 in South Africa
7.       Vu-vu-Zealous! Gold - Earned by completing the Gold level Mastery of Districts 1-3 in South Africa
8.       Vu-Vu-Zealous! Ruby - Earned by completing the Ruby level Mastery of Districts 1-3 in South Africa
9.       Waka- Waka - Earned by Robbing 5000 times in South Africa
