The New Mafia Gift Safe House

Okay, when you get on to Mafia Wars next you may notice a new change. They have altered the name of the Gift Safe House, along with new graphics and loot. So no more respect or disrespect, you now will be helping them in a "crime spree" or giving them the joy buzzer hand shake.

The rewards haven't changed. You still get a bonus to your stamina, energy, or experience for sending the crime spree message back to the person that sent it. The disturbing thing was that the "respect meter" is now not only changed to a new meter, but it is also set back to zero. We will see what and if Zynga plans to do anything more with the new gift interface.

Have you heard that Zynga for the very first time had tied up with a third party sponsor, 7 Eleven? Neither company made official announcement but a 7 Eleven Zynga redemption site teaser confirms this. Las Vegas Properties

We are hard at work on getting our new city, Las Vegas, ready for everyone. In the meantime, we thought you might enjoy a glimpse at our creative process, and how things in the game go from ideas and concepts to the amazing artwork you see in the final game. We have a top notch art team here at Mafia Wars, who strive to bring all of the designers' ideas to light.

Here is an example of that creative process at work: this is what the "property" page for Vegas will look like. Each of the separate components of your hotel / casino complex can be upgraded individually, and look bigger and better as you upgrade them. In a future update we will show you some of the details about each individual property, but for now enjoy the finished work.

Win 1000 Farm Cash in FarmVille Hay Bale decorating contest

FarmVille's Community Manager Lexilicious has just posted the full details about a new contest for all of you artistic farm creators out there. This isn't just an ordinary contest - FarmVille are allowing the final decision on the winners to be chosen by the FarmVille community. The top 5 farms will be awarded with 1000 Farm Cash and 1 million coins.

This is a huge prize for a few lucky contestants.

For this contest, post your entries in this thread on the FarmVille Official Forums from May 13 - May 20. The top 10 winners will be announced and put up in a poll on May 21st, which will allow players to vote for their favorite. The poll will end and the winners will be announced on May 27th. The team will be judging on presentation, originality, and effort. All images must not be Photoshopped (they will be checking your farms to verify), must not be representative of copyrighted imagery, must show the entire farm, and may not be inappropriate in any way. Only one submission will be accepted per farmer.

Mafia Wars Las Vegas: Dev hints at new upgradeable Casino

A Mafia Wars developer named "Teebs" dropped a big hint about what's in store for the Las Vegas expansion -- namely Las Vegas properties (the new content is rumored to roll out mid-June). Instead of owning multiple businesses and buildings a la Mafia Wars New York, Cuba, etc, Mafia Wars Las Vegas will let players own a single casino, which can be customized and upgraded.

"The second is something I've alluded to in a previous post – the Vegas Casino property. Instead of having multiple buildings and businesses that you see currently, the Vegas property system will actually have you customizing (both visually and numerically) a single complex, so you can be your own Casino mogul. You'll be able to choose your slot machines, upgrade your Hotel, as make sure your Vault is secure from robbery."

Having spent a lot time on the Las Vegas strip, we'll all for the idea. We just hope we end up with something more like the Bellagio than the Stardust.
